Acuneedling™

What is Acuneedling?

Acuneedling is gentle needling techniques performed by a Acuneedling Practitioner™ with a focus to stimulate specific points on the body to create balance and flow of 'qi' energy. Acuneedling is a safe and effective treatment for women who are experiencing pregnancy conditions and discomforts. Acuneedling can also be an effective treatment option for women seeking birth preparation, labour activation, care during their early postpartum phase and breastfeeding.

What does it involve?

Acuneedling sessions are offered within the comfort and privacy of your own home or in the Mindful Mama Lactation clinic located at Ararat Physiotherapy & Co (Claridge House). Sessions are 45minutes with treatments being individualised to your needs on the day and can include the combination of acuneedling, moxibustion, cupping and relaxation.

Postpartum and Breastfeeding

Acuneedling in the postpartum can be used to aid recovery in the delicate 4th trimester with “mother warming” treatments to enable healing, treat breastfeeding issues such as blocked ducts or early onset mastitis as well as c-section scar binding to help bring the fascia back together.

Breastfeeding issues can occur without warning and being able to access treatment within a quick timeframe has a positive effect on both mother and baby. Acuneedling is helpful for issues including low milk supply, blocked ducts and early onset mastitis.
